PARADISE INDIA - KCFMC finds a gem in Overland Park, KS

Lord & Lady Shuttlecock took a long awaited trip to 7119 W 135th St in Overland Park, KS to finally see for themselves what Paradise India was really like.  Not only was it THE BEST service one could ever ask for.  But the food quality, freshness, taste, appearance, & dining experience ALL not only met – but EXCEEDED our expectations.

The bonus for Lady Shuttlecock was the restaurant’s dedication to diners with special dietary needs & restrictions.  A special order of bread, along with dessert were each made without any dairy or gluten for Lady Shuttlecock.  There were maybe only three items on the lunch buffet that she could not have.  We cannot WAIT to go back for dinner , and order off the menu.  Being able to try absolutely everything on the lunch buffet enabled us both to decide what we would want for an entree next time – should we not do the buffet.

Please give this place a shot – even if you have no special food restrictions.  The staff was delightful, helpful, and attentive.  This made the wonderful, flavorful food even more enjoyable because the whole experience was top notch.

Paradise India is open for the lunch buffet WEEKDAYS from 11:00am -2:30pm (Closed Tuesdays), and WEEKENDS from 12:00pm-3:00pm.  Dinner hours are Monday-Sunday (Closed Tuesdays) from 5:00pm-9:30pm.

As many of you know, Bojarsky Starfruit (AKA Professor Peacock) is the owner of a fine establishment located at 409 E 31st St known as The Drop.

The Drop was nominated for Best Bar by the readers of KC Magazine. Please vote for The Drop. (Unless you have another favorite). There are other categories to vote for as well. Here’s the link:

*KCFMC suggests One More Cup in Waldo*

One More Cup in Waldo — located at 7408 Wornall (with street parking in front, & lot parking in back) is OPEN !!!  Hooray !!  The KCFMC is delighted.  And we are even MORE thrilled that they are serving up not just all of the usual favorites == such as Shatto milk, caffeinated beverages, and tasty treats == but they are also offering cold-brewed Toddy drinks for those of us who sometimes prefer a low-acid version of our favorite coffee drink.

Please go visit Stacy, Jeremy, and the rest of the delightful staff at One More Cup.  Keep independently owned businesses thriving in KC, & support these folks.

*OAK 63* mmmm good……

Hungry for some French cuisine? Or perhaps a relaxing glass of wine or beer.  Or MAYBE you are thinking dessert sounds perfect.  If so — KCFMC just returned from Oak 63 – a bistro located at 408 E 63rd St in Kansas City, MO.  We had an amazing macaroni and cheese — it surpassed my top choice for mac & cheese in KC.  This dish actually HAD multiple cheeses in it. I could TASTE and see them.  What a comforting meal.  The salad was beautiful.  And our service, and dining experience warrants going back again.

It is the perfect spot for lunch, and apparently they even serve dinner, as well as brunch on Sundays.  They have a rotating menu ; with many delightful options.  Please give them a call for details.
